Perched at one end of Richmond’s charming Thameside walkway, this riverside pub is hard to miss. With its traditional bar area, the Grade II-listed building is the perfect hangout on a summer’s afternoon thanks to a beer garden overlooking the river. Come winter, there is a cosy fire to enjoy.

The riverside view is quite nice, close, pleasant patio dining area, views from all the floors.
The food is delicious. Reasonably priced. (£6.50 for a chicken sandwich, £5.50 for chips and smashed avocado).
Good selection of wines and beer. See photos of menu.
Be sure to order at the bar unless your seated in the dining room upstairs.
Service is prompt and friendly. more
Nice place right on the river in Richmond. They have a nice outdoor area, where you can sit and watch the day go by.
Quick trip inside to order drinks and food.... we had the lamb burger, which came with some fries (chips). Everything was good and fresh.
Definitely a nice way to spend the afternoon. more

You also get to enjoy the steady flow of people walking along the river and as we had our dogs with us everyone was stopping for a pat of the dogs and a friendly chat.

My favourite riverside pub is gently located next to the gorgeous stone Richmond bridge and has an awe factor, especially for visitors such as myself. Particularly great on a Sunday when folks are out in full on the patio and others strolling along the Thames. I am a fan of their malty Young's Special ale as well as their stronger Bitter. Try the fish and chips, especially if it's cold out.... more
