Admire the vibrant and kooky artworks from local artists as you sip on fresh juice at this independent juice cafe on Portobello Road. Portobello Juice Café only sources fruit and vegetables from Portobello Market for its juices, smoothies and shakes. Flu Fighter, packed with lemon, ginger, honey and a load of veg, revives those feeling under the weather, while Black Magic contains activated charcoal which promises to help hangovers subside.

PRESS Juice Bar

Health-centric PRESS takes a scientific approach to getting the most out of its juice. From the moment it reaches the kitchen, all produce is cooled to below 3C, before nine metric tonnes of applied pressure extracts the juice without friction or heat. The result is that it retains as much of the good stuff as possible, with lots of vitamins, enzymes and minerals. It tastes good too, with juices such as immune boosting Orchard 2 that reinvents apple juice with ginger and lemon. Find locations at St Paul’s, Soho, Selfridges and Spitalfields.

Raw Press

The juices may be cold, but the Raw Press cafes on Mayfair's Dover Street and Chelsea’s Ellis Street are warm and inviting. Settle down at one of the wooden tables and sample from 10 cold pressed juices, such as Sweet Green that gives kale and swiss chard a fresh sweetness with the addition of pineapple, lemon, ginger and mint. There are also a range of healthy salads and breakfast options, or tuck into artisan bread that you can toast from individual table-top toasters.

Supernatural

Supernatural, handily located in Canary Wharf Tube station, helps to give you a fresh spring in your step with juices, smoothies and shakes packed full of vibrant produce. There’s the usual range of green and citrus juices, as well as specials that tantalise the taste buds. Try the Ziggy Stardust that combines passionfruit, oats, guarana, strawberry, dates, banana, beetroot, whey protein and apple for an out-of-this world flavour sensation.

Located on Kingly Street, Mortimer Street and Bernard Street in central London, The Detox Kitchen delis create a sense of calm with interiors decorated in whites, neutrals and pale wooden tones. The juice selection is small, but what’s on the menu is mighty. The ever-popular Green Machine takes broccoli, celery, cucumber, spinach, courgette, ginger and lemon, and turns them into a delicious feel-good drink. Grab a juice to go, or sit down with a nutritious salad.

Crussh

This London chain first set up shop in 1998 as a juice bar. Fast-forward nearly 20 years and they’re still juicing, squeezing and blending healthy treats for the inhabitants of the city. Crussh may have branched out into salads and wraps, but its juices and smoothies remain a highlight. Keep to the classics like the Energiser that mixes apple, carrot and ginger, or mix things up with an Immunity Booster shot with lemon, ginger, turmeric root and cayenne pepper.

This cosy juice bar is popular with the locals in Chiswick. It’s easy to see why with warm and inviting decor, adorable succulents adorning the tables and really good juice. Head to the tropics with the pineapple, mango, lemon, ginger and coconut water juice, or cosy up to a glass of orange, sweet apple, carrot and cinnamon. All drinks are customisable with add-ons such as matcha green tea powder, vegan protein powder and chia seeds.

Ali Baba

Ali Baba offers competitively priced juices in a cafe opposite Peckham Rye Station. The menu is never boring with the changing fruit and vegetables from around the world: think puna yams and nashi pear. Sometimes the combinations can be unusual, with additions including wasabi and specials such as red pepper with watermelon, but more often than not the inventive mixes pleasantly work.

The Good Life Eatery

The wholesome cafes in Belgravia, Marylebone and Chelsea feel homey with rustic wood and calming colours. A custom-made hydraulic-press juices fresh fruit and veg into delicious, pulp-free drinks that keep all the important nutrients. Have a health boost with Pineapple Immunity containing pineapple, coriander, coconut and ginger; or enjoy the natural sweetness of apple, strawberry and coconut water in the Melrose Sunset. There’s also healthy menu of salads, breakfast bowls and baked goods if you need something more filling.

Joe & The Juice

This global juice empire has taken London by storm with an incredible array of juices and shakes. At Joe & The Juice you can sip on avocado shakes or go for an intense shot of fennel and apple, while sitting inside cool cafes with plenty of exposed brick and comfy chairs. The coffee is great too - the ginger latte is always popular.
