About

Don't miss the Royal Shakespeare Company's award-winning production of Matilda The Musical at London's Cambridge Theatre.

A girl dressed in white sits on some books, as a man dressed in green crouches near her, as part of the production of Matilda The Musical.

Experience the stage adaption of Roald Dahl’s beloved book, written by Dennis Kelly and with music from award-winning musician and comedian Tim Minchin.

What is the musical about?

The show tells the story of Matilda, an extremely intelligent five-year-old. Her parents have little interest in her, and school life isn't helped by cruel headmistress Miss Trunchbull.

With the support of kind teacher Miss Honey, and the discovery of some very special powers, Matilda decides it's time to teach the grownups a lesson.
