Meet Paddington: Visit London's Welcome Ambassador

Visit London is excited to announce the appointment of Paddington as our first-ever Welcome Ambassador, in celebration of the release of Paddington in Peru, on 8 November.

After many years of marmalade-filled adventures in London, Paddington is proud to be taking on the role of Welcome Ambassador for Visit London!

Paddington has called London his home since journeying to Paddington station from Peru and being welcomed in by the Brown Family. Now, Paddington can share the warm welcome that he so greatly received when arriving in the capital with you all.

Paddington invites you to experience the very best of London – a place where everyone is welcome and made to feel at home. So, start planning your adventures in the capital, both big and small!

Take the kids on a fun-filled family day out to tick off some of London’s top attractions and immerse yourself in the heartwarming world of Paddington at The Paddington Bear Experience. Explore the city’s loveliest parks and gardens, before treating yourself to a spot of shopping. Pick up foodie treats from a famous market and indulge in the delightful tradition of afternoon tea – which includes some of Paddington’s favourite marmalade sandwiches on the Paddington Afternoon Tea Bus Tour. Or be dazzled by a West End show and spend an afternoon discovering all the wonders found inside the capital’s museums and galleries.

See Paddington in Peru on the big screen

Follow the adventures of Paddington in Peru as the new film arrives in UK cinemas on 8 November. The third instalment in the blockbuster film series takes Paddington and the Brown Family on an exciting journey to Peru to visit Aunt Lucy at the Home for Retired Bears, filled with adventure, mystery and plenty of laughs along the way!

Visit the Paddington mural in South Bank

Say hello to Paddington as he takes up residence on London’s South Bank at Sutton Walk opposite Waterloo station from 31 October to 30 January. Offering a warm welcome with the doff of his hat, Paddington is brought to life in a must-visit mural created by Peruvian artist Gisella Stapleton and delivered by Global Street Art.
