Beyond London: East Midlands

The East Midlands is a region of contrast, with beautiful countryside and buzzing multicultural cities.

Visit Sherwood Forest, home of the legendary Robin Hood and his band of merry men, where you can wander through the trees and see locations associated with the famous outlaw.

The East Midlands is packed with history and heritage. Make sure you visit historic sites like Belvoir Castle, built by the 5th Duchess of Rutland in 1799, and the impressive Lincoln Cathedral.

The region is also home to the Peak District, England’s first National Park, where you'll find amazing walking and cycling routes and cosy country pubs.
