Bringing together a unique collection of prints, drawings, and photographs, the National Portrait Gallery illustrates Dickens' life, including his family, friends and contemporaries.

The Charles Dickens Museum
Based in Dickens' only surviving London home, The Charles Dickens Museum in Bloomsbury holds the world's largest archive of Dickens manuscripts and artefacts. The museum will close on 10 April for a large scale refurbishment, and is due to reopen in November 2012.
