Overview

This hilly, historic park has ornamental ponds, formal flower beds, a walled 'old English' herbaceous flower garden, and a 19th century clock tower.

There's a wide range of outdoor sports facilities, including basketball, football, cricket, tennis courts and Brockwell Lido; a 1930s style lido which is one of London's biggest and most popular outdoor swimming pools.

Facilities include a children's dog-free play area with a sandpit, a paddling pool and a purpose-built BMX track. There is also a picnic area and changing rooms.

There is a café in Brockwell Hall, a 200 year old historic building, in the centre of the park.

Is it London's nicest park? It could be.

But why?

Quite possibly the best Lido in London - and you can swim here on winter solstice (afer cracking the ice)

What beautiful fireworks!

I can't believe that Lambeth put on a magnificent 30 minute display for FREE!

So fantastic and really made my day. Amazing amazing amazing, and not to be missed.

One of London's best parks, and tourist free!

A lovely park with the usual mix of lawn and trees/shrubs with the added bonuses of a hill with lovely views over London and a huge open air lido (swimming pool) in the original art-deco building with full gym attached and a fantastic café. Brockwell is located between brixton and Herne hill this large historic park has visitors streaming through throughout the whole year and throughout the years it has develop and refurbish Brockwell hall and lido.

The 38th annual Lambeth Country Show proved the perfect way to end the amazing summer of 2012.

Another fantastic South London park. Nestled between Brixton and Herne Hill, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a big old green expanse with not much to offer. At least that's what I has always thought.
