Average food/terrible service.

We never got the water we asked for 3 times, our coffee took half an hour to arrive, and getting the bill was even more of a challenge. It was very surprising considering the restaurant was half empty and there were plenty of staff on-hand.

The food was ok, however our portions were so small we left still feeling hungry.

Looks out on to eel brook common, nice and airy but that's where the similarities with the last review end.

While they serve food, this is a pub rather than a restaurant, condiments and numbers on the tables back me up.

The bar staff were nice, and though there was no apology for my wait there was also no minimum card charge.

New restaurant--opened at the end of the summer--square on Eel Brook Common. Light, airy with big glass windows and a patio. Feels like the leaves and trees of the common are enveloping you. Small but intimate rather than cramped. Open-plan space.

Food has that fresh, the "british ingredients" offering. Eel Brook keeps the menu tight and interesting. It challenges your taste buds but still...more
