The 50-seat Finborough Theatre above the Finborough Arms pub in Earls Court is one of the best small theatres in London.
The award-winning theatre presents new British writing and premieres of new plays, musical theatre, and rarely seen rediscovered 19th- and 20th-century plays. Under the artistic direction of Neil McPherson, the theatre attracts the finest creative talent and regularly transfers productions to the West End and Off-Broadway.

I saw "The Sweethearts" here and it's not just great pub theater, but simply great theater. The show was extremely well written and paced, with performances that were strong across the board. I was amazed that such a tiny venue could put on such a great show.

Downstairs is a wine bar with a large selection of alcohol but very little in the way of food. But don't worry! They have a deal with the...more
