The 50-seat Finborough Theatre above the Finborough Arms pub in Earls Court is one of the best small theatres in London.
The award-winning theatre presents new British writing and premieres of new plays, musical theatre, and rarely seen rediscovered 19th- and 20th-century plays. Under the artistic direction of Neil McPherson, the theatre attracts the finest creative talent and regularly transfers productions to the West End and Off-Broadway.

Cool, small "fringe theatre" located on top of a wine bar. The theatre is a small room with some benches that sits about 30 people max. I saw "Don Juan Comes Back From The War", which fit the space great. Had a good time, I liked the intimacy that's possible in here. Mehr erfahren

The theatre is really small. It seats about fifty people and there are only three rows. When we first sat down I couldn't imagine how they were going to pull off a musical on such a small stage

I saw "The Sweethearts" here and it's not just great pub theater, but simply great theater. The show was extremely well written and paced, with performances that were strong across the board. I was amazed that such a tiny venue could put on such a great show.

Such an odd location, as some of these pub theatres often are. It's in the middle of a fork in the road and has a cute pale green exterior. The bar area is pretty small - they sell pizzas too if you want to go for a pre-show meal - although there's not really much seating area. The theatre itself is cute and small.
