Overview

Notting Hill Farmers' Market has been running since September 1999, and has a dedicated following of eager market shoppers. It is one of the area's best kept secrets, tucked away behind the tube, and locals want to keep it that way.

Many farmers who attend now have permanent spaces for them reserved in Notting Hill fridges and larders, including Olive Farm, with their fresh milk, cream, yoghurt and cheese from their herd of Guernsey cows. Fruit grower David Deme's stall is now such a part of the local fabric of the area that he's opened a shop next to the market.

I've been going to the market on and off for years and I must say it is not my favorite. I forget I don't really care for it after a while and go back because it sounds like a fun Saturday AM activity. Last weekend I spent 3x the amount I usually spent on my supermarket shop but didn't have 3x the flavours. And you know what? I am very ok with not knowing the name of my cow or the...more

This is a really lovely little farmers market with lots of interesting produce like juice from Chegworth farm, fresh flowers, amazing cheeses along with meat and poultry. The only killer for me are the opening hours - finishing at 1pm is a bit of a killer, I am barely awake by that time on a Saturday (slack I know). Also, if you do get there 12 to 1ish you are likely to find that all the meat...more
