Overview

Situated in a Grade II listed Victorian building, this Covent Garden restaurant and martini bar is something of a London institution. Christopher’s restaurant is housed in a stunning building; Victorian features such as the high moulded ceilings have been preserved, and tall windows in the dining room offer views over Waterloo Bridge. Decor is elegant - rich deep colours are complemented by soft, subtle lighting and starched white linen. The food here is best described as modern American. Steaks are the star of the show and the grill section of the menu features a tempting range of American steak and lobster dishes. The menu at Christopher’s is extensive, though, and there are plenty of choices for diners who don’t fancy steak, including iconic American dishes like Maryland crab cakes, Missouri rubbed roast lamb, tobacco onions and pecan maple tart. The weekend brunch menu, too, is huge - pancakes here sound like the perfect way to start a Saturday.
