London's largest indoor market is a treasure trove of antique and vintage clothes, collectables and 20th century design pieces. Vintage lovers will adore spending hours browsing through the market's 600 stalls crammed with everything from rare vintage finds to colourful baubles. Alfies Antique market also has a great rooftop cafe.
Bayswater Road Art Market
The Bayswater Road is home to the weekly open-air display of art by artists and craftsmen offering oil paintings, acrylics, watercolors, drawings, pastels, sculptures in wood and metal, enamels, collages, contemporary abstracts and miniature flower paintings.
Bermondsey Square Antiques
Bermondsey Square's antiques market is open every Friday morning. Traders display goods from Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian times, including silver, china and glassware. The market starts at 4am; the best time to visit is 5am when antiques collectors from around the world gather to get the best bargains.
Brick Lane Market
Spreading across several streets in the Brick Lane area, you'll find both junk and gems in this market! There's bric-a-brac, second-hand furniture, cheap leather clothes, shoes and lots more. There are also some fantastic stalls selling exotic spices and colourful saris. Sunday is the best day to visit the market.
Camden Lock Market
Camden Lock is the central hub of Camden's huge market, which is home to more than 100 shops and stalls. Here you'll find an extensive range of goods from designer clothes and accessories, to one-off pieces of art, food and furnishings. There's also designer workshops, studios, stalls, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.
Covent Garden London
Housed in and around the iconic Market Building and Piazzas, Covent Garden is an architectural masterpiece. Along with the speciality shops, restaurants & cafés is the Apple craft market where you're sure to be entertained by street performers while perusing the wares on offer, which range from antiques to handicrafts.
Greenwich Market
Greenwich Market has beautiful products from designer makers and small cottage industries. Weekends are busiest, with about 150 stalls selling an enticing range of jewellery, pictures, clothes and accessories, and unique gifts. There's also a food court and local shops selling even more goodies.
Portobello Road Market
Portobello Road has been a market since the 1800s but became particularly famous for its antiques in the 1950s. Now there are numerous stalls offering everything from fruit and bread to posters, vintage and designer clothes, bric-a-brac, music and, of course, loads of antiques! The market is in full swing on Saturdays.
