Even if you can find Polish dishes packed for your convenience in the supermarkets these days, it's still best to go to an authentic deli for the real thing. Here is just a taste of what London has to offer...
Polanka
With a small café/restaurant to the back of this deli, Polanka is the perfect place to stop off for some homely good-value food as well as stocking up on your favourite meats, sausages, pickles and cakes.
Prima Delicatessan
Probably London's first Polish deli, established in 1947 amongst the Polish community in Kensington, Prima offers a taste of home with its cheeses, breads, meats and sweets. Sister company Krystyna is a bakery supplying shops and restaurants.
Polsmak
One of the new kids on the block, Polsmak was opened in 2003 with the intention of giving Polish groceries more of a "foodie" appeal. It's a beautifully presented, smart deli offering a wide range of delicious Polish products.
