Japanese Shopping

These shops go some way to helping you put a little bit of Japan in your life.

Japan Centre

There's nowhere better for a one-stop shop for all things Japanese than the Japan Centre. With over 1,000 food items ranging from different types of rice, noodles, sauces, soup bases, condiments and plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks you'll be spoilt for choice. And if it's all too much, visit the splendid on-site deli and indulge in some fresh sushi or sashimi. There's also a great selection of Japanese magazines, comics, language books and music. The Japan Centre is perfect for the homesick or just the plain curious.

Supermarkets

Just a stone's throw away from the Japan Centre in Soho you'll find a mini-emporium of all things Japanese at the Arigato Japanese Supermarket (48-50 Brewer Street, W1). Further north in the Japanese heartland of Finchley, Atari-Ya (595 High Road, North Finchley, N12) is a favourite with the celebrity chef set for its huge range of authentic ingredients. South London is well-served by the generously-stocked Japanese Kitchen.
