Mad about football? Crazy about cricket? Get involved on a sports day out in London with tours, tournaments and tasty food
Morning: London Days Out: Sport
You don't have to buy match tickets to get into London's top sports grounds – just go on a tour. There are fascinating guided tours available at many London sporting venues, such as Wembley Stadium and Twickenham Stadium, home to the World Rugby Museum.
Other top sports museums in London include the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, Marylebone Cricket Club Museum at Lord's and Chelsea Football Club Museum.
Lunch: London Days Out: Sport

For lunch, head to The Sports Cafe on Haymarket, near Piccadilly Circus.
This Central London bar and eatery is a popular nightspot, but there's plenty to enjoy during the day too. The affordable lunch menu includes sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, handmade burgers and desserts.
And after lunch, you can challenge your friends or family to a game of pool or watch sport on one of the 46 HD TV screens.
Afternoon: London Days Out: Sport

Work off your lunch with a round of indoor golf at Urban Golf in nearby Soho.
Hire one of the six state-of-the-art golf simulators, book yourself in for a golf lesson or compete in one of the friendly Urban Golf Tournaments. Afterwards, reward yourself with a drink in the stylish upstairs cocktail bar and lounge. Simulator hire rates start at £10 for half an hour.
If you prefer outdoor sports, why not go kayaking? Thames Kayaking offers daily kayak tours along the River Thames, each lasting around four hours. You'll paddle past famous London attractions and through picturesque locks, stopping off for a picnic lunch en route. You don't need kayaking experience to take part and the £60 per person fee includes kayak hire, life jackets, guide, transfers, picnic and drinks.
Evening: London Days Out: Sport

In the evening, kick back and relax at the Fiamma Restaurant and Sports Bar inside the Hilton London Metropole hotel.
Tuck in to a delicious dinner of sizzling steaks, stone-baked pizza or pasta in the restaurant. Then retire to the newly refurbished Sport Bar where you can watch the latest sporting action on the large-screen TVs with a drink or snacks from the extensive bar menu.
If you would prefer to spend your evening outside Central London, head eastwards to Cafe Kick in Clerkenwell or Bar Kick in Shoreditch.
Special events at both venues include table-football tournaments, football matches on TV and film screenings. On the menu at Bar Kick you'll find hearty daily specials, sandwiches and a selection of buffets, while the cosy Cafe Kick offers tapas, salads and sandwiches.
