You'll stroll past the haunts of Oscar Wilde, delve into the clandestine club life of the 1930s and 40s, and find out why Soho has played such an important part in gay history.

For dinner head to Liverpool Street (get a Central line Tube from Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road) where you can choose between two restaurants that span the divide between chic City and edgy East End. 

Les Trois Garcons is ideal if you want to treat yourself to some extreme opulence, with fine food to match. Or you could try Pizza East, which serves up yummy gourmet pizzas in ultra cool but casual surrounds.

After dinner, it's time to hit the town and London serves up night-time delights of many kinds. Those who favour the stage are well catered for, whether you're mad for the theatre, need your diva fix at a West End musical or come join the cabaret in London's cabaret venues.
