With bustling markets and some of the world's best restaurants and bars, London is a food lovers' paradise!
Our foodies' day out takes in just a few of the top London restaurants, London bars and London markets.
Morning: Sketch and Borough Market
Located just off Regent Street, Sketch is one of London's coolest eateries.
Its master-chef is Pierre Gagnaire, best-known for his eponymous Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris. Start your day off in style with breakfast in the Parlour Room, where menu options include eggs Benedict with spinach coulis, spicy Birchermuesli, and smoked salmon served with apple jelly and Jacob's cream.

After breakfast, take the Tube or train to London Bridge station. Under the railway arches, you'll find Borough Market – a must-visit for foodies.
Its traders and artisan producers sell everything from homemade cakes and pork pies to veggie burgers and continental cheeses. Many stalls offer tasters so you can try before you buy. The market is open on Thursdays, Fridays and (its busiest day) Saturdays.
Lunch: British Food at Roast
For lunch, either pick something up from Borough Market or take a seat at neighbouring Roast.
This celebrated restaurant and bar is known for its classic British cooking. On the mouth-watering menu, you'll find seasonal dishes such as Cornish Pollock with smoked mackerel fritters and watercress sauce, wood pigeon breasts and slow roast Wicks Manor pork belly.
Afternoon: Vinopolis Wine Tasting Tour

On a foodie day out in London, what you drink is as important as what you eat.
Luckily, just a few minutes' walk from Borough Market is Vinopolis, which offers a great selection of wine tasting tours. Choose from a tour with or without a guide, and enjoy tasting sessions covering wine, cocktails, whisky and beer. If you don't have time for a tour, enjoy a pre-dinner drink at Vinopolis' stylish Wine Wharf or Bar Blue.
Evening: Dinner at a Michelin Star London Restaurant

For dinner, where else to eat but at one of London's many Michelin-starred restaurants?
For a night to remember, splash out at three-Michelin-starred Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea or Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in Mayfair.
If you prefer to stick around Borough Market, good options include the Menier Chocolate Factory, The Wine Theatre, The Loft and Tapas Brindisa.
