London is world-famous for its cutting-edge style. Both on the streets and in the boutiques, London is a fashionista's paradise. Follow our guide to the perfect fashion-focused day out in London.
Morning: London Days Out: Fashion
A fashion-lover's visit to London is not complete without a trip to the Victoria & Albert Museum.
The V&A's vast archives encompass fashion through the ages with an emphasis on cutting-edge and influential European designers from Charles Worth to Christian Dior to Vivienne Westwood.
The V&A collections also contain accessories including jewellery, gloves, handbags and shoes and there are regular exhibitions.

Those who have exhausted the V&A's many charms could opt instead for funky Bermondsey. Here you'll find the Design Museum as well as the Fashion and Textile Museum, which runs regular exhibitions. Make sure you check out the changing range of quirky pieces from up-and-coming local designers in the Design Museum shop.
Each museum is about 20 minutes' walk from London Bridge Station but high-heel lovers may want to take some comfy flats, as there are cobbled streets on the way.
Lunch: London Days Out: Fashion

For lunch, combine food and fashion at one of London's designer cafes in Mayfair.
Nicole's restaurant on New Bond Street features the signature chic, laid-back aesthetic of owner Nicole Farhi, whose flagship store is next door. Or try the Dover Street Market café, which puts you within easy reach of the store's six floors of designer clothing.
Afternoon: London Days Out: Fashion

Once eating's out of the way, it's time to seriously hit the shops! Catch the Tube from Bond Street to Shepherd's Bush to take in the UK capital's largest shopping centre: Westfield London.
Here you'll be able to shop till you drop with more than 40 big-name designers and luxury brands under one roof including Louis Vuitton, Prada and Mui Mui.
Westfield also has a plush champagne bar and numerous food and drink options for when you need to refuel.
Evening: London Days Out: Fashion

If you've worked up an appetite with your retail frenzy, help is at hand.
Serious fashionistas can go for dinner and drinks at Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Restaurant, Café and Bar, which is ideal for a stylish meal.
Or, if money is no object, head to China Tang at the Dorchester where you may be lucky enough to spot regulars Kate Moss and Sir Phillip Green. Afterwards, glam up for West End musical Chicago – a visual feast of frocks and fishnets.
