Covent Garden London Entertainment and Events

Looking to be entertained? Every day in London's Covent Garden is special. There's always plenty to see and do, and you'll often stumble upon a festival or one-off event.

Covent Garden has long been home to a wide variety of entertainment. You can see everything from buskers and circus performers to the best opera stars in the world.

Classical music fans can join well-heeled Londoners to enjoy opera and ballet at the Royal Opera House, or the London Coliseum. There are also regular classical music concerts at St Paul's Church.

Explore 120 years of cinema at the Covent Garden branch of the London Film Museum, which has free admission and a regularly changing series of exhibitions.

Covent Garden is home to several must-see annual festivals. Families love the May Fayre and Puppet Festival, and you'll never forget the eccentric Christmas pudding race, which sees more than 100 Father Christmases take to the streets to discover who is the fastest Santa of them all!

Christmas is a perfect time to visit Covent Garden, as it is transformed into a winter wonderland with sparkling lights and an enormous tree. There are always fun activities, opportunities to pick the perfect present and chances to celebrate the season with festive treats.

Covent Garden also likes to host pop-up shops and restaurants - places to shop and eat that might only exist for a day or two!

Past events have included a Valentine's day champagne pop-up, an open air lawn library and a LEGO greenhouse. Visiting regularly is recommended: you never know what you're going to see.
