West London might not get the same attention as the rest of the city, but Earl's Court was home to the capital's gay scene in the 1970s and you'll still find a number of gay venues here today.
The Culvert
It's eyes down in the only gay bar in the village (of Uxbridge), and that's nothing to do with the quality of eye candy on show. No, we are talking about The Culvert's bingo nights! Karaoke, Sunday roasts and a friendly atmosphere are other highlights at The Culvert.
The George Old Isleworth Music Bar
It's exactly what it says on the tin, so pull the ring and come on in. The George Old Isleworth has been touting itself as West London's premier gay cabaret bar for over 10 years. And who are we to argue?
The Leinster
Alas, nothing to do with the Irish rugby team of the same name, The Leinster is still worth a try (pardon the pun). Great food, cheap drinks and an alfresco area make this a great place to chill out and chew the fat.
West 5
No, it's not the latest boyband, dear. A large, dashingly smart venue, West 5 boasts a variety of nights (film nights, quiz nights, a piano lounge) and it's got an illuminated garden with a fountain and a waterfall – perfect for those drunken, moonlit serenades.
