Quo Vadis

About Quo Vadis

Quo Vadis is a Soho institution. This iconic London restaurant, which first opened its doors in 1926, has gone through several incarnations; the current in the capable hands of Sam and Eddie Hart – the team behind critically acclaimed Spanish restaurants Fino and Barrafina. Decor is luxe and retro, with beautiful stained glass, mirrored walls and parquet floors, complemented by attentive and courteous – you could say old-fashioned – service. The restaurant occupies the ground floor os 26 – 29 Dean Street; upstairs you’ll find private dining room and a members club, all frequented by Soho media types, magazine editors and louche luvvies. Simplicity is key at Quo Vadis, and head chef Jeremy Lee has created a bold and tasty British menu, reminiscent of the classic cooking at restaurants like Hix, St. John and Le Café Anglais. Signature dishes include the 48 day aged Hereford rib of beef; the lobster spaghetti and the Valrhona chocolate soufflé with pistachio ice cream.

We always like eating at Quo Vadis in London's Soho, especially with a prepaid TT voucher to take the sting out of the final bill. Crab soup was delicious and so was the Jerusalem artichoke soup, according to my partner. Fish main was a very tasty skate with black butter and capers. Veggie main was an interesting cornbread concoction with goat's cheese and butternut squash. Special mention goes to the wine, a delicious Stellenbosch merlot aged in oak casks.Shame our bar drinks were wrongly mixed.

I love the Jeremy Lee Quo Vadis. Every plate is pretty and generous and the three meals I've had there have all brought a big smile to my face. Buzzy atmosphere, brilliant food and sensible pricing for a Soho restaurant.

Nice building, well priced, good food but not excellent, had a pie that came up tepid and one of the desserts was disappointing. Room very cold and far too many managers milling around. Was told our table only booked for 2 hours when we got there and I told them we wouldn't be rushing as nobody had told us this.

Quo Vadis is a pleasant restaurant in Soho. Perfect for a meal before a night out. Food is very good although the service was not great.

Really enjoyed this evening. The staff were great; friendly, attentive and had a sense of humour. Food was lovely, however the sides got cold quickly.
