Had the signature menu at Helen Darroze on 20th Jan 2012. Attentive, friendly staff. Perfectly cooked food, full of intense flavour. Opulent setting. Highly recommend - this is my second time in 4 weeks!

Had the 9 course Inspiration menu from Helene Darroze at the Connaught and my high expectations were met every step of the way. The food was sublime in presentation and taste, service was slick, unobtrusive, informative and friendly, whilst the setting was superb . The food was heavenly - not a course I didn't enjoy, unlike other tasting menu's I've had elsewhere. Not cheap, but definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend.

Connaught Hotel, Helene Darroze Restaurant, Carlos Place, Mayfair. Delightful decor and service.Disappointing menu. Signature dishes were seasonal but not very appetizing. Avoid the pork. Wine list is comprehensive but over-priced. A great experience in terms of warm and enjoyable ambience but not very fulfilling in terms of food and drink. There are many fine reataurants nearby where food is better and wine cheaper but the atmosphere will not be as good. It depends on what you want.

This is my third time to Helene Darroze. I have to say that in terms of the taste, this is probably my most favourite restaurant. the combination of the elegance of French cuisine and flavourful taste of Spanish cuisine make the food here fantastic. I opted for the set lunch which was a real bargain. Will definitely go back again.
