Maybe these things are taken for granted by us Americans but the rooms A/C barely worked and the appliances were old and kinda clunky. There are plenty of pros for this hotel and several cons. Overall, I would give our experience here 3 stars. Let me start with the positives. The hotel is in a great location. A quiet, safe neighborhood that is conveniently located to most of the sights in London. The hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. We commented how quiet the room was at night, which is always a big plus for...more

The Lancaster London is somewhat a deceiving hotel. Upon arriving your a faced with a building that has the resemblance of a 70s office block. This is where the worry ends and the saying "never judge a book by the cover" should be firmly in mind when staying here.

The hotel has a basic reception yet warm, cosy and very welcoming. Every member of staff is smiling and polite.

I was organising a 2 day series of meetings here earlier this...more
