It's a very decent station. You've got the Tube, which I use for my commute, as well as buses and National Rail. The station is usually pretty busy, and there are lots of shops where even non-travelers will come to make purchases. Pretty well organized. Nothing wrong here.more

Esta estación de metro fue como nuestro campamento base los días que estuvimos en Londres. Aquí llegamos desde el Stansted Express, de aquí se puede hacer andando una bonita ruta peatonal hacia el mercadillo de Spitafields, o a la zona de White Chapel, o si salís de marcha, por Brick Lane.

My friend (a fellow American adopted Londoner) almost always suggests that we meet up at Liverpool Street Station. It is easier for her coming in from West Ham or wherever in the East part of London she happens to be. And it is still within Zone 1 for me (I'm usually at a tourist hotel with loads of university students... trying to get away from them and I don't think many of them ever make...more

You know what, Liverpool Street Station, you're OK with me.

Yes, you can be crowded due to the popularity of your station, but that's just because you're a great drop-off point for those working in the city. But you're easy to find, easy to get in an out of, and easy to navigate once within. None of this labyrinth nonsense. This way to the tube, this way to the rail, this way to the busses....more
