Established in 1890, Gordon's Wine Bar is possibly the oldest wine bar in London. Still family run, signs of the bar's long history can be found everywhere, from the cellar and candlelit tables, to the aged wooden walls covered in memorabilia and old newspaper cuttings. The varied wine list includes sherry, port and Madeira.

I haven't been here for years but still remember it. My friend was seeing me off for a flight. He was a jerk. We drank 3 bottles of wine and had great cheeses with them. Wish I could have that moment back for a day.more
I don't like wine and I LOVE this place. It's easy to miss from the outside because of its cruddy-looking facade, but once you step inside, you really feel (and smell) just how old this place is. They thought about it for a moment and told me I must check out Gordon's Wine Bar. Well throughout the night 3 other people gave me the exact same recommendation! Well of course had to try it!

TLDR: Food under the heat lamps look unappetizing and dry, it's super crowded (like overly crowded), and if you're inside it's loud and hot. If you're outside without a heat lamp, it's cold. The service is non existent. Smokers everywhere. Really cool spot.
If you're cool with all of the above and are lucky enough to snag a seat inside, the ambiance of this place is simply awesome. The...more

Sure there are lovely...more
