We went to The George based on the recommendation from a friend that this was a pub that around during Shakespeare's time and rumor is he frequented here. It's amazing that it has such great history. It's also a popular spot among the locals. We went during happy hour on a weekday and the place was packed. Reasonable prices for a pint and fun people watching.more

4-5£ per pint. interior is nice but the exterior is even better - lots of picnic tables, heaters, a great view of the carriage exterior, and you're sitting right below the shard! perfect place if you've been walking along the river or just ate at Borough Market!more
