The Summerhouse
About The Summerhouse
The Summerhouse restaurant in London’s beautiful Little Venice is situated right on the banks of the Grand Union Canal with charming views of the water, the narrow boats and a parade of passing waterfowl. It’s a seasonal fish restaurant, that’s a spin-off of the famous Waterway Restaurant – it’s practically next door -- and the care and quality are evident in every detail. You’ll feel as if you’re on holiday in The Summerhouse’s bright, white, nautically-themed dining room or the covered terrace. And as you’re enjoying a glass of chilled rosé and contemplating the water view, you’ll be offered a menu that is full of fish, from clam chowder with sweetcorn to The Summerhouse fish pie to possibly the best fish and chips in town. Meat-eaters can console themselves with a superb sirloin steak with béarnaise. The Summerhouse’s short wine list covers everything you need.

Excellent meal with attentive service. Simple and well-executed fish menu.
The Summerhouse, London, wonderful canal side setting. Bright, airy and buzzy. Manages to feel formal yet casual at the same time. I had a huge salmon and haddock fishcake on a bed of spinach and a chive and butter sauce which was perfect. Too much cream and not enough meringue in the Eton mess. Welcomed by a jug of Pimms on a table before you even get in through the door.
The Summerhouse in Blomfield Rd. London W9 2PD I was just looking for a nice local restaurant, where i could have some nice food in a relax atmosphere and i found it. The food was very nicely presented and tasty, the wine was very nice too. I would recommend.
Lovely setting great food fresh fish well presented excelent service could not fault it
Summerhouse was quite cold with weather outside being cold. We could see around us some people were cold (they had blankets around them) whilst others were too hot (heaters being turned off). So, ideally, best to go there when the weather is mild/warm. Food and service were good, though a little overpriced (especially the sides). We were politely asked us to leave our table after about 1hour45 of being there as there is a 2 hour turnaround. This was a little odd but we were given 2 free drinks.
