English Heritage: The Wernher Collection at Ranger's House

About English Heritage: The Wernher Collection at Ranger's House

Ranger's House is a pretty 1720s villa, once the home of aristocratic and royal park rangers, located on the edge of Greenwich Park. It now displays the treasures assembled by diamond magnate Sir Julius Wernher (1850-1912), a passionate and thoughtful collector. Over 700 astonishing works of art are displayed in 12 graceful panelled rooms. Here you can admire minutely carved and painted ivories; beautiful enamels; Old Master paintings; Renaissance bronzes and some of the most spectacular jewellery in Europe.
