The Grill is located in fantastic premises. The food was very good, a part from the patè that wasn't as good as I would have imagined. I had a divine omelette as starter. We had an excellent Ruinard that when brought to the table was warm. We had to ask to te waiter to chill it. It has been a lovely experience a part from the service. I don't want to be mean, the young waiter and waitress (with a french zing) were very polite but clearly not trained to attend tables at the Savoy.
I went to the Savoy Grill in The Strand, London for lunch with a friend. It was quite busy and had a nice buzzy atmosphere. The room is attractive and the service professional and attentive. We opted for the set lunch and found it to be pretty good and value for money. An ideal venue for lunch.

We had all been looking forward to our trip to the Savoy, unfortunately the reality did not meet the expectation. The Toptable offer looked to be a good one, but the standards were no where near as high as those I had experienced at Maze recently. Hugely disappointing.
Brilliant experience, it was my friends birthday and they made him feel quite special...
