The Green Park

The Green Park is quite different from its neighbour St James’s Park. Covering 19 hectares (47 acres), it is more peaceful, with mature trees and grassland. It is bordered by Constitution Hill, Piccadilly and Queen’s Walk. It was a famous duelling site until 1667, and Constitution Hill owes its name to Charles II and his frequent ‘constitutionals’. There is a range of tree species and common birds such as blackbird and starling and migrant birds. No public toilets, but some in Green Park Underground station. Refreshment kiosks are at Ritz Corner and Canada Gate, serving a range of snacks, drinks and ice creams.
Open: Daily from 05.00-midnight all year round.
