Chose this venue as equidistant to myself and my co-diner. Location was the best thing about it. Food was okay; not great, not awful. Would only go again if needed to be in Gloucester Road area.
68 - 86 restaurant and bar. It's a perfect catch-up place - quiet and service's courteous. Also good for pre Royal Albert Hall meal or a meal after visiting museums. Erh, forgot to collect free chocolate as a deal...But all in all, very good food! Lamb was juicy and fish was cooked with perfection. Dessert was so-so.
Our second visit and a good meal at a competitive price. Friendly staff who all did a good job. Very convenient for the Albert Hall.
Arrived late for a pre theatre meal due to public transport delays but the staff were helpful and we very much enjoyed the meal just wishing we had had more time.
68-86 Restaurant & Bar, Gloucester Road We booked this restaurant for a family meal (wanting traditional food in this area) and really enjoyed it - food was very good value for the location and service was good. Restaurant was quiet which was nice for us as we just wanted to chat and weren't concerned about the atmosphere so much. I would recommend this to others - if you're looking for somewhere with real atmosphere then this may not be the place but I guess people are saving money for xmas!
