About National Trust: Osterley Park and House
Owned by the National Trust. Originally built in 1575 and transformed by Robert Adam into an elegant 18thC neo-classical villa, the superb interiors contain some of the country's best examples of Adam's work including plasterwork, carpets and furniture. The house is set in over 350 acres of landscaped park and farmland complete with ornamental lakes and Pleasure Grounds. The magnificent 16thC stableblock survives largely intact.
