Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising
About Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising
New to London's Notting Hill, the Robert Opie Collection has moved from Gloucestershire. Nostalgic and evocative, everyone's memories are here - childhood toys, favourite fashions and teenage magazines. Decade by decade, this fascinating story unravels from Victorian times, through austerity Britain to the swinging sixties. The museum contains 12,000 original items, from motorcars, music, television, holidays and entertainment to branded groceries, sweets and household goods. By walking through the museum's time tunnel you can trace changes in social taste and the evolution of graphic design, along with the development of marketing and advertising skills.
