Thames Foyer

About Thames Foyer

The Thames Foyer is the heart of London’s iconic Savoy hotel and the perfect venue for light, informal dining. Its reinstated glass cupola, based on a guest's drawing, allows natural daylight to flood in on even the darkest day and the foyer has an elegant, Great Gatsby-esque grace about it. The centre piece of the Thames Foyer is the magnificent new winter garden gazebo, and this is one of most discerning and intimate places in London to take afternoon tea accompanied by the hotel's resident pianist. Afternoon tea at the Thames Foyer is an enduring tradition where you can choose from a range of teas served with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a delicious selection of cakes and pastries. The Savoy is proud to be a member of the Tea Guild and received a 2011 Award of Excellence.

Setting and service outstanding but food was distinctly ordinary.

This was everything you would expect from The Savoy. Wonderful experience that my friends and I plan to do again very soon. Just the place to treat yourself or a loved one. Service, Food and Location all 5 star plus. Can't wait to go again.

Dinner at The Savoy,London certainly had the wow factor. Staff were wonderful-friendly and attentive - from the warm welcome by the smiling, immaculately turned out doormen to the very helpful member of staff in the tea shop. Very relaxed ambiance.Meal taken in the Thames Foyer -was faultless.Did feel like a valued guest. Can't wait to go back again.Thank You.

I took a girlfriend for a celebratory snack lunch at the Thames Foyer in the Savoy, and it was perfect - great service and lovely setting, though the salad of cornish crab meat was tasty but a bit mean (a round terrine with some watercress on top). The Savoy is such an iconic place that you can't fail to enjoy it
