Bluebird Restaurant. Booked using reward point. At restaurant, was told there is no record that my booking was with reward point. The staff made me get on-line on my mobile to show them the toptable email. Not impressed. Ordered a 2010 wine. The staff first came back to us saying the wine we selected was too woody. We said that was fine. They then served us 2009 wine with no clarification Upon enquire, they said they have run out of 2010. The food servce was not impressive at all.
Excellent service and ambieance at the Bluebird Restaurant on the Kings Road, would highly recommend.
Booked a table upstairs and took a bunch of clients there. Food was good and served quickly, service generally attentive. The afternoon was enjoyed by all. One small note - it would be nice, when a group of ten people are leaving a business lunch and anxious to get back to the office, if the coat check girl were to actually get on with the business of handing back coats rather than conducting a ten minute conversation on the phone (one of my clients timed her) keeping us standing by the door.
Bluebird in Chelsea is not our usual scene. We went with fans of a certain unreality TV series who were visiting London. There is a lot of potential in this atmospheric venue and the food was tasty enough, but the service was average at best.
