Now in its ninth decade, Bentley’s first opened its doors in 1916 in the same beautiful old Victorian building it occupies today. From the outset this famous oyster bar and grill, captured the vibrant mood of a metropolis about to embrace the roaring twenties.
Offered the chance to restore the iconic Bentley’s to its former glory when it came up for sale in 2005, Chef Richard Corrigan embraced the challenge. Following a sensitive refurbishment, Bentley’s once again opened its doors to great critical acclaim serving oysters, fish and seafood in much the same way it has since 1916.

Bentley's Oyster Bar & Grill in Mayfair is excellent. Great food, pretty expensive, acceptable service (with the obligatory slightly snotty sommelier) and it has an atmospheric, "institution" feel to it. Great oysters, extensive wine list, delicious starters and good dover sole. Expensive but you get plenty of bang for your buck and I'll be back.

Absolutely brilliant night at Bentley's Oyster Bar & Grill! This London institution is in the very capable hands of Richard Corrigan and we had a great time from the cocktail in the bar to a wonderful seafood meal and a great bottle of red wine. The service was attentive and excellent and the Dover sole delicious. I can't wait until my next visit!
Bentley's Oyster - London Excellent meal and service. Oysters were fresh and delicious. I've been there before and the quality remains the same.
