A self-taught artist, Goddard initially trained as a graphic designer. Keen to pursue his passion for art and forge a career as an artist, Goddard turned his back on the commercial world, becoming a practicing artist in 1982. He has subsequently exhibited in a number of London galleries as well as staging exhibitions from his studio bi-annually. Goddard has been represented by FAS Contemporary since its inauguration in 2005. An exhibition of Goddard's works on paper will open on 21 February 2012.
