Boisdale, Canary Wharf. Excellent restaurant. Classic British food, good atmosphere, plus the extras (whisky bar, oyster bar, live jazz, cigar lounge etc). Great evening meal. Surprisingly good promotional menu, although the a la carte is of course much better.
The lobster was amazing, really good value and really tasty. The top table deal made it really reasonable, and with a glass of fizz included as well I have no complaints!!
Booked Boisdale of Canary Wharf for a special occasion. For the price, you would expect it to be special, but it was simply 'OK' which was a shame. Our order was wrong on two occasions. On mentioning it to the waiter he accused me of being wrong, until he checked with the kitchen who confirmed differently. My partner's main had a key component missing which took 10 mins to arrive, by which time we were both almost finished! It was good, but not great, yet the prices tell a differing tale
Love the Boisdale Canary Wharf and the live Jazz music, it was brilliant. The staff are so friendly and helpful will go back again.
The full chargrilled lobster is excellent. Like the food and environment very much! Chose salmon for starter and ordered chocolat parfait for dessert. A wonderful night out
