About Hall Place and Gardens

Hall Place is a Grade I listed Tudor country house, with 17th century additions, set in award winning formal gardens. Hall Place was restored in 2009 and is fully open to the public for the first time. Displays include an introduction to the house’s history, a children’s gallery and a diverse and fascinating museum collection. Riverside tea room, gift shop and contemporary art gallery in the visitor centre.

Gardens: Open throughout the year from 9:00 till dusk, closed Christmas day and New Year’s Day.

Opening Times November to March: House open 11:00 - 16:00 Wednesday -Saturday. (11:00 - 16:00 Sunday & Bank Holidays). Visitor Centre open 10:00 - 16:15 Wednesday -Saturday. (11:00 - 16:15 Sunday & bank Holidays).
April to October: House open 10:00 - 16:45 Monday to Saturday (11:00 - 16:45 Sunday & Bank Holidays). Visitor Centre open Monday to Saturday 10:00 - 17:00 (11:00 - 17:00 Sunday and Bank Holidays)
House and Visitor Centre closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve closed at 13:00.
