London Paddington Train Station

Paddington railway station was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and opened in 1854.

The station was recently refurbished, with a new concourse designed by Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners. Today you'll find a great selection of shops, restaurants and takeaways at the station.

Since the 1960s, Paddington station has been synonymous with the marmalade-loving children's book character, Paddington Bear.

London Paddington Station Connections

Paddington station is home to trains from West and South West England and South Wales. Destinations include Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Penzance and Cardiff.

Paddington is also the terminus for the Heathrow Express train to London Heathrow Airport.

Continuing Your Journey from Paddington

There is a London Underground station at Paddington, so you can transfer directly from your train onto the Tube. Paddington is in Zone 1 on the Hammersmith and City Line, Circle Line, District Line and Bakerloo Line.

Paddington station is also well-served by London buses and London taxis, making it easy to continue your journey across London.
