Tottenham Court Road is very unique because of all the tiles decorating the walls; it makes for an interestingly colorful experience traveling to this part of London. The layout of the station itself is horrible, however, but this is pretty common in these older tube stations (see: Green Park, Charing Cross, Waterloo, Bank... I could go on). I usually whizz past this station and for the past couple of months up til november 2011, it had been closed due to renovations. To that I question, WHAT renovations?!
Not plastered, mosaic half done, escalators move funny and it still smells funny. Also Ticket barriers are a freakin' maze. I love how the signs before it was done said 'getting ready for Olympics 2012.' I love Boris's sense...more

2) Then (and for those of you who understand irony and sarcasm, this is my favorite part) you must go UP A FUCKING ESCALATOR. Why the FUCK did you just make me walk down all...more
