Hawksmoor Seven Dials
Overview
Winner of the Time Out Award for 'Best New Restaurant 2011', Hawksmoor Seven Dials has wowed fans and critics alike ever since it opened in 2010.
Tucked away in a quiet street, the restaurant is located in the old Watney-Combe brewery and has retained some of the building's original features.
The 142-cover restaurant serves generously sized steaks, simply cooked on a charcoal grill, using beef from traditional British breeds supplied by award-winning butchers The Ginger Pig. Situated in the heart of London's Theatreland, Hawksmoor Seven Dials also has express pre and post theatre menus. The bar is ideal for casual burgers and hot dogs or for some of the best cocktails in London, including old school drinks and new.

I'd give them six stars if I could.
THE best place to get a steak in London and easily my favourite restaurant.
Here's why:
They serve amazing food in a cool setting and have managed not to get full of themselves in the midst of all this fabulousness.
It's good value. You will probably spend lots of money but you'll get lots for it and you'll have the best quality out there.

They say if you want the best steak, go to to Hawksmoor and they aren't wrong. I opted for a two course meal starting off with a Caesar salad, which was light and an perfectly portioned ready for the next meaty course which was steak and triple cooked chips. It delivered on all levels, nicely cooked and very tender and juicy. The chips were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the out, very...more
The Meat Sweats give me a sense of both slight disgust and satisfying triumph. After all, there's nothing quite like seeing the slight surprise on the waiter's face after seeing a fairly skinny guy pack away a 24 oz Porterhouse on his own. I don't often eat steak out, partially due to the expense, but also because most of the time it's cheaper and better to go to a butcher and do it...more
Class, food, venue, cocktails. Not sure what more to say but came here after hearing about their burgers. Service is brilliant and they made sure we knew everything we needed to know about our food and drinks, while being attentive but not over bearing. It has the feeling of an members club with the wood panelling and smart décor. We had steak, burger and the chips which were out of this...more
I just love this place. The steaks are amazing and one of the very best I've ever had. The first time I went I had Kimchi burger and found the the burger meat too stringy but since then I had fillet, sirloin steaks and now I am one of the big fans of this place.more
