Hey UK visitors, this is it: Fish & chips without the fuss. "Oh, but what fuss could fish & chips possibly bring?" you UK natives may ask.
Let me count the ways in which traditional fish & chips spots may fluster your average outsider:
1. No seating at some traditional take-out counters
2. Questionable hygiene of real newspaper wrapping
3. Intimidatingly brisk customer service

Good food, slightly too expensive and definitely too noisy.
We had regular cod fish n chips and it was as good as you'd expect. Generous portions and average quality.

I maybe a noob on Fish 'n Chips in UK, but it met(or went beyond) what I just expected. I was just freakin' happy to have my 1st ever fish 'n chips in UK soil, OK?
I thought everything was bigger in US than anywhere else in the world. But wow.. I had not seen fish 'n chips as big as the one from Poppies. This alone made impressed the shit out of me and gives automatic 4 stars to this...more
The fish and chips were nothing short of perfection. We ordered a cod and haddock meal to try both. Also tried the mushy peas and fish cake. If I come back to London I will definitely dine here again. Also tried two types of lagers too. All n all it exceeded my already high expectations.
The restaurant decor is nice and everyone was extremely friendly!more
