Poppies fish and chips are some of the best in London. A few months ago, I got the cod and a side of chips and it was so freakin' good.
I ordered a cod with chips and it exceeded my expectations.
- the batter was perfectly crispy while not being too oily.
- the cod was also excellent - soft and moist
- the chips were thick and not greasy (with some malt vinegar on top...oh my)

The beer was basically water (camden...more
I maybe a noob on Fish 'n Chips in UK, but it met(or went beyond) what I just expected. I was just freakin' happy to have my 1st ever fish 'n chips in UK soil, OK?
I thought everything was bigger in US than anywhere else in the world. But wow.. I had not seen fish 'n chips as big as the one from Poppies. This alone made impressed the shit out of me and gives automatic 4 stars to this...more
