This year marks the 19th anniversary of the West End run of Wicked London, continuing to bring the incredible story of the Witches of Oz to life.

Travel to the Land of Oz and follow the unique destiny of the young witch Elphaba, from her school days to becoming the infamous Wicked Witch of the West. Wicked the Musical is an iconic show that enchants audiences with its spellbinding mix of magic, friendship and rebellion.

What is Wicked the Musical about?

Experience the magic of the Wicked musical in the West End, an enchanting show exploring the backstory of the iconic characters from L Frank Baum’s “The Wizard of Oz”.

With spellbinding music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz, the musical is adapted from Gregory Maguire's acclaimed 1995 novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Get invited into a parallel universe where you will meet two young magicians – Glinda and Elphaba – long before they became known as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West in the beloved tale of The Wizard of Oz.

As they meet the Wizard of Oz, their friendship is put under the test by different desires – one seeking power and popularity, the other trying to stay true to herself. Both are destined to live extraordinary lives, but the journey that leads them there is full of challenges.

Discover how the forces of magic shape the destinies of these two unlikely friends in a reimagined world of Oz, brought to life with show-stopping songs, dazzling costumes and breathtaking sets, in a world where friendship and destiny are intertwined in the most unexpected ways.

Wicked the Musical has won more than 100 major awards, including three Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy Award. This magical production has been in the West End since 2006, making it one of the longest-running shows in West End theatre history.
