Itchy review of The Rock & Sole Plaice

Ive never had a haircut at Curl Up and Dye, but I will eat with these punsters. This is Londons oldest surviving chippie, best in summer when you can sit Parisian-style on the footpath with Britains finest cuisine before you. Wash it all down with a bottle of not bad-at-all white wine and admire the colour of the mushy peas. Everyone else knows about this place, isnt it time you did?
Lonely Planet review of The Rock & Sole Plaice

Its cutesy name notwithstanding, the approach at this no-nonsense fish and chips shop dating back to Victorian times is simplicity: basic wooden tables and decor and delicious cod, haddock or skate in batter served with a generous portion of chips. Another plus: it's now licensed.
