Anchor Bankside

See where Samuel Pepys watched the Great Fire of London from and Doctor Johnston wrote part of his dictionary. The Anchor Bankside was originally built in 1615 but today serves classic British fare, seven days a week; and has a terrace bar overlooking the river Thames.

Apparently Shakespeare and Charles Dickens has had a drink here so I had to try it. Excellent location overlooking river Thames. Classic pub with a very classy interior. Big selection of beers.
