This memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales was opened by Her Majesty The Queen in 2004. The fountain is made from 545 pieces of Cornish granite - each shaped by computer-controlled machinery and pieced together using tradtional skills. The design aims to reflect Diana's life; water flows from the highest point in two directions as it cascades.

This spot in the park is best on warm sunny days (that London has oh so many of), when you can dip your toes or go wading in the ankle height water of the circular waterfall?/fountain?/waterbody?
However the sunnier it is, the larger & louder the crowd.

Not much to see here. Yeah the fountain is pretty and has a cool design. Unless you really enjoy leisurely walks in a pretty park, it's not worth walking miles in the Kensington Garden, searching for this memorial! It's by the W. Carriage Dr, by Long Water creek (Close to the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Road, if you are looking at a map...) Más información
I respectfully disagree with some of the recent posts. Yes, if you're not interested in exploring large city parks, then this fountain, and probably most fountains, are probably a waste of time
On the other hand, I'm a New Yorker who grew up enjoying Central Park, and as a tourist I LOVE seeing how other big cities use their green space.

Princess Diana's memorial fountain was pretty and very serene. Nothing fancy, just modest. I guess that's perfect for Princess Diana -- keeping it simple yet there's an elegance.
The fountain is located in the Hyde Park, just follow the signs and you'll find it. It's actually really close to the Serpentine
I don't think it's worth to purposely make your way out here to look at the memorial.... Más información
Nothing too exciting. Was expecting a large tall fountain but this one is a low waterfall(not higher than your knees) a lot of kids and some adults were barefoot in it. (Not sure if it's meant for that or not). I appreciated the scenery by the lake beside it more. Más información
