Avast me hearties! Your little landlubbers can be pirates for the day on Captain Hook's huge wooden pirate ship at the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground.
Everyone loves this imaginative play area. Nestled between the trees in Kensington Gardens, it's inspired by J M Barrie's novel, Peter Pan.
Designed to be accessible and inspiring, kids love playing in the teepees, on the beach, and running between the sculptures.

I am neither a child, parent or aspiring pedophile, so I could not in good conscience visit this playground, as adults cannot enter without children, though as a lifelong fan of Peter Pan, I was VERY disappointed.
On the outside looking in, it looks to be exactly the sort of play area to inspire a child's imagination, with a massive pirate ship & other delightful diversions. Más información
an absolute gem of a children's park - I recommend at least an hour or more reserved for play time, you will need it! Más información

I looked up and the park signage directed me to the Diana Memorial Playground. I don't think I've ever been more thrilled to see a playground sign. Thank you, ghost princess.

Beautiful & memorable morning spent in this perfectly planned, cleaned, & gated playground We spent the majority of our morning playing with the kids because let's face it, it's the only time as an adult you can slide down a slide, swing in a huge netted tire swing, pretend like you're pirate & play in an actual pirate ship without the authorities questioning your sanity. This park was an... Más información
Looks like fun, a mini-Disneyland. I say looks like because I couldn't go in. =( Apparently, if you are not accompanying a child, you are not allowed entrance, even if you are a kid at heart. (If you know me, I usually make a beeline to the swings at a playground, age be damned.) I wish guidebooks mentioned this, since that's how I found out about this memorial playground and its Peter Pan... Más información
