A grandes rasgos
Historian, social writer and ethical thinker Thomas Carlyle and his wife Jane lived in this house from 1834 to 1881. Opened in 1895 as a literary shrine, it contains some of the Carlyles' furniture, books, pictures and personal possessions, together with portraits and memorabilia. There is a small walled garden.

- Kings Road (SW3) - Walk down the Kings Road until you come to Oakley Street on the left. Go down Oakley Street and take the 1st right into Upper Cheyne Row, then left into Cheyne Row.
